PRIZES:

2011 - the winner of the International competition of musicians-soloists, performers on wind and percussion instruments "Silver Sounds" (Petrozavodsk), laureate of the II degree of the International Competition-Festival of Performing Arts "Golden Talents of the Commonwealth" (Zheleznogorsk).

2014 - winner of the Royal in Jazz Competition-Festival (Moscow).

2015 - the winner of the II International competition "Saxophone voice in the modern world" (Moscow).

2016 - the winner of the XV Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Tyumen) and XI Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states (Moscow).

2017 - the winner of the XVI Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Yekaterinburg)

2019 - 1st prize at the Hochschule Wettbewerb competition (Cologne, Germany)

 

Roman Markelov was awarded the prize of the Government of the Voronezh Region for special achievements in educational and creative activities (2012).

Roman Markelov is a soloist of the St. Petersburg House of Music since 2015. He took part concerts of the projects "River of Talents", "Evenings in the English Hall", "Embassy of Excellence", "Music of the Stars".

 

Roman has performed in Russia, Italy, France, Morocco, India, Myanmar, Finland, Tanzania, Germany, USA, Austria, Moldova.
 

He collaborates with conductors: P. Nikiforov (Switzerland), A. Skulsky (Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic), V. Voronin (Astrakhan Opera and Ballet Theater) V. Tupikov (Lipetsk Philharmonic), G. Moseiko (Chisinau, State Cultural Center "Palace of the Republic").

Collaborates with musicians: A. Ramm, F. Kopachevsky, A. Melnikov, S. Redkin, Leonid Zhelezny, Alexey Sychev.
